On my 2020 R-29 with a Side-Power SE40, there is also a rubber coupler that fits over the sheer pin and can break. I sucked a line on the bow thruster and when I removed the unit (from inside under bed) the pin was fine but the rubber coupler had broken. Indeed, it looks like it is designed to break first which makes me wonder why also have a metal sheer pin. Unfortunately for me, I had stocked spare pins but not a spare coupler. I found a replacement at Fisheries Supply https://www.fisheriessupply.com/side-power-flexible-coupling-only-for-se20-through-se40/sm125918Thank you. When I removed the sheer pin it did not appear to be broken. I replaced it anyway and the symptom was the same as before. I high whining sound and no thrust. I did spin the shaft when I removed the motor and it moved smoothly.
