Is there a way to lock a breaker in the on or off position so that it cannot be moved by accident? Such as the hot water heater so it cannot be switched on by mistake when it is drained during winter.

I think Blue Sea Systems makes the switch guards FM uses on the DC panels. They might fit on the A/C panel - or not!

You could check with Blue Sea Systems or FM parts to see what switch guards might work on the A/C panel switches. I’d try to find some switch guards that would work. You absolutely don’t want the hot water tank getting power when it’s empty!

The breaker will trip if you energize it on a not-full hot water heater. Make sure to bleed all the air out of the hot water tank when refilling after a winter season. Just as an FYI. 🙂
