Feisty too
Were out in some rough seas Saturday. The entry door on our 2012 R-29C was apparently not latched tightly, flew open, and shattered into a zillion pieces. The safety glass broke into nugget sized pieces, but also many shards that cut crew in many places during what cleanup can be done under those circumstances. What to do to replace glass? Available from Ranger? Diamond Sea Glaze, local glazier? Entire door?

Would a plexiglass surface become scratched easier when wiping to remove dust? And what about sun reflection, since it is not treated?

Might want to look into lexan or the marine version of it, which I think was called m10. I had that as front windows on my catamaran and lasted 16years in the sun in California. The cockpit door is quite protected from such direct sun exposure and cleaning can be done the same way you would clean your sunglasses, moist towelette.

Contacted factory and Diamond SeaGlaze. Also checked with good local glazier who repaired it in a week for $525. Thanks for input.
