I’m planning on making the cruise to Poets Cove in early summer and the Broughtons in July.
Because of shoreside activities, I’ll be making a pretty quick trip up to Echo Bay. I have reservations at Pierre’s in Echo Bay from July 24 till July 28. I’ll be exploring and fishing in the vicinity during that time, and plan to return to the marina each evening. I’m pretty open ended after the 27th.
Because of other schedules I’ll be leaving Seattle earlish on July 20 and make the trip up there in 5 days. Sort of a rush, but I’ve made the trip to and through Desolationn Sound several times before so I’m ok with seeing those miles in fast forward.
So far I haven’t seen any plans for forming a fleet going north for this event. If anyone else is considering this trip from Puget Sound I’d really enjoy joining a group. PM me or respond on this thread as the summer gets closer.

You will be just a few days ahead of the factory Desolation Sound trip.
You have a pretty aggressive schedule getting up to Echo Bay! Wouldn’t it be easier just to catch a ferry with the trailer and boat in tow and drive up to Port Hardy or Port McNeill from Seattle in one day? That would give you a lot more time in the Broughtons and not have to worry about weather getting there. Of course, I’m assuming you have a trailer....

Thanks for posting, we too are planning a Broughtons cruise from Seattle. Our timeline is 3 weeks, there and back, and hope to leave June 28. I just saw Sam B post on buddy boating or Pierre's, we fit the buddy boating. However, no worries about buddy boating, after three trips to Desolation with RT, I think we are good to go by ourselves and hope to see others on the water. During the boat show, we met some great folks from different marinas, and we are beginning to plan our route and hope to make reservations soon! Can't wait to see Sam L presentation from the boat show.

Revising plans for a trip to Broughtons this summer. Other things on my schedule moved and that allows for a better timeframe for traveling from Seattle.I'll be leaving Seattle on July 16 or 17 to arrive at Echo Bay on the 24th or 25th.
If anyone wants to keep company on this trip, let me know.I'm very open to most any itinerary.
