Good Evening:

We are in the VERY early planning stage for a 2 month cruise in the Florida Keys. Tentative start date is late February to mid-March 2020 depending on weather as we will be trailering from New Jersey. We have been to the Keys several times but not on our own boat.

If anyone is going to be down there, we would appreciate buddy boat cruising for part of the time to learn from an experienced Tugnut. Also very interested in all advice, especially where to leave our truck and trailer.

Please PM us if there is interest!!

We are having a Rendezvous in Punta Gorda starting February 7th. We usually have 30 boats attend and some land lubbers. You will get plenty of cruising information and probably find a few people heading to the keys. I am confident that once you get all the information you will even be able to go on your own. If you are interested to be on the E-mailing list for updated info contact Jess Rizzo at Jessa35@aol.com.

Bosn Mate, We are planning to attend the Flordia Renezvous this February and then plan a 10 day trip south after. We have a 242sc CutWater. I have contacted Burnt Store Marina about truck and trailer parking. they say you can park there during the Rendezvous and can help find a place to park after.. There is a RV/Boat/Trailer parking storage place down the road where you can park a truck and trailer.. Hope you can make the Rendezvous and Buddy Boat in the areas south.. don't know if we will get down to the Keys in that short time.

Thanks to all. Will start planning for the Rendezvous in February!

Read your Buddy Boat messages and wanted to let you know we're also interested in a south cruise after the Rendezvous. Right now we are trying to make our schedules fit for taking all of February in Florida. We are from Ohio/Tennessee and would really like to travel with several boats while down in Florida. Please feel free to contact us to discuss details whenever you like. Group or PM.

Please post details here. We’ll be at the rendezvous and may be interested in the cruise south, too.

Good Afternoon:

Responding to Gordon and Cynde.

We are in the process of planning for this trip. In summary, we will trailer Tingira from NJ to the rendezvous (7-10 Feb). We will then cruise in the local area (11-18 Feb). Then back to Safe Harbor Burnt Marina where we will load Tingira back on the trailer and head down to the Florida Keys (19-21 Feb). We are retired military so we will base out of Boca Chica Marina in Key West and cruise (22 Feb - 25 Mar).

Tingira is a R29s so we will be at the mercy of wide load permits. Not a big issue but...…..

Shoot us an email at bosnmate78@gmail.com or PM if any of the above seems interesting!

We are in Key Largo, but do plan to bring our R-29CB to the Rendezvous. We will cruise back afterwards to Key Largo. Love to meet up some where.

Looking forward to connecting with everyone at the SWF Rendezvous in a couple of weeks. Cynde and I haven't made any specific plans for after the rendezvous, but will be packing enough for a couple of weeks cruising afterwards. I know Mike and Kathy are trailering to the Keys, but we would need to cruise there. Key Largo is an option, too (Richard and Patty). Let's try to get together at the rendezvous and make further plans.

From the Rendezvous a run to Marathon would be a nice cruise down. From there you have a choice of heading west to Key West or east on the inside or Hawk channel to key Largo. The choices are many. Most importantly, enjoy the journey!

Good Morning:

Just an update.

We did not make the cut for the Feb rendezvous so had to change our plans. We will be trailering down to Key West arriving around 20 Feb. Once we get situated, we will be cruising between Key West and Marathon.

If anyone is in the area, drop us a PM. Would love to meet other Ranger Tugs owners.

Regards,

Mike and Kathy
