I'm one the Great Loop and currently on the western portion of the Erie Canal. I will need an oil change and some other minor work done by the time I get to the end. Anyone have a service technician that they like in the Buffalo area. There are a few Volvo Penta dealers, but they seem to focus mostly on sterndrives, or there are some really mixed reviews.

Thanks,

If you are going counter clockwise (doesn’t everyone?) and can make it to Western Lake Erie / Sandusky Bay Area before you need the work I’ve had a good experience with T-Diesel. Tom and his son worked on a family member’s twin Cummins in a Sea Ray on Catawba Island and were great, and I plan to use them on my D4-260 for anything that is beyond my simple capabilities. They are also Volvo certified. https://www.t-diesel.com.

Only trick is Tom, the owner/mechanic is a little old school and does not take credit cards - so he sends an invoice and you pay by check.

Thanks. I may be able to make it that far. The Erie canal does eat up hours though, for not many miles. Would miss it though. Great little towns and wonderful folks along the way,
