C-26 air conditioning power requirements

I'm looking at purchasing a C-26 with A/C. I'm told I can only use the A/C using shore power. Can I run it while the engine is running? Otherwise I'm told one can use a Honda 2200 portable generator as a power source (shore power). Is that enough wattage to run A/C? it's a 2013.

You can run the AC with a generator as long as you have a soft start on the AC. I had to install one of these https://www.microair.net/products/easystart-breeze-soft-starter on my 12K BTU air conditioner to run it with a 1.9 kw diesel generator.
