Hi, is the single cleat that is center-line forward of the windlass strong enough to secure an anchor line snubber (in mild-moderate seas)? Or does a bridle from the port/starboard foredeck cleats need to be used at all times?

Thank you-

I have that same center cleat on my RT27-OB. I've used it to anchor overnight in relatively calm conditions and it's worked fine. However, I did upgrade to a bridal and prefer to use that instead.

I remember on one of the “As the prop turns” videos that question was asked, and one of the guys mentioned that the use the forward center cleat to lift the topside onto the hull.

thank you for the returns- we will use a snubber for sunset drinks and a bridle for longer stays-
