Hello everyone, I am a newbie on the site. My name is Stuart

Am looking at Cutwaters, specifically the C-30 and C-30CB. The command bridge cost more up front but what I am wondering is if it will hold a higher value on the resale market down the road when I want to sell it. Some, including myself to a degree, think the sedan has better lines and looks better. I drive primarily form inside so the command bridge is not important to me, just think my grandkids would love it up there. But that is not a good reason to choose the CB if the value down the road suffers.

What say you?

Personal preference, but I love steering from the CB on my C30CB. Better visibility and great to be outdoors under the bimini. I think the CB has great lines, much better than the R31CB. The value is there. You're basically paying a 5% premium for a lot more boat.

There are quite a few threads about the choice on this site, so a search will be helpful (for example: http://www.tugnuts.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17653).

Bottom line is that it depends a lot on personal preference, and also on where you will use it, with how many people, etc.

We went with sedan for the looks plus preference to avoid (for us) unnecessary extra systems, etc. We have not missed the CB at all ... except for one thing: when you get stuck next to a talkative neighbor at a guest dock, it would give a place to escape to!
