C-30Sedan stern Cleats - Steel backed?

Are the port and starboard aft cleats steel backed like the R-27? I'm towing some larger boat with the USCG Auxiliary, and it is required. Thank you.

Hi there,

Unfortunately I can't guarantee that but they should be. Sorry that I can't be more specific but I don't have the data for those cleats from 2019. It would be a little bit of a chore, but you could remove one cleat to see if it is. I don't remember how difficult it is to get up in that area of the gunwale, but an aft cleat should be accessible. Hope this helps but let me know what you think.
