Hello everyone,

It's winter project time. We dropped our seats off to get reupholstered, finished a lot of great maintenance, now it's time for a proper Burgee!

I'm looking to add a burgee to the bow rail and I'm having a hard time finding one. They range in price from $15-$100+ and most reviews complain about not fitting a 1" rail.

Does anyone have a photo so I can see your setup? This is also the section of rail that drops down for the ladder.

We love our Mantus Rail Clamp. We removed the black rim and mounted a standard stainless flanged flagpole holder with the flange removed and bolted to the clamp.

I really like this solution. Can you provide any direction on the flagpole holder you used?

Something like this -

Cut off the base with a bandsaw, bench grinder to roll over the edges to make them nice, and then polish it up for a finished look.

You would also need to drill a hole in the bottom for the bolt to pass through and a nylon lock nut on the inside. I also drill a smaller hole on the downward side of the flagpole mount to allow any water to easily drain.
