C28 Transom Gate Hinge Pin

The hinge pin from one of the hinges on the transom door has fallen out. I can get it back in, but it falls out again fairly quickly. There isn't a set screw to hold the hinge pin. The hinge is closed on the top, and open on the bottom, so the pin is inserted from the bottom. I suppose I could flip the hinge upside down, but would be worried about water collecting inside. Alternatively, I could try to put some loctite into the top opening. Has anyone else had this issue/have suggestions on how to solve this?

We used Loctite (red) several years ago . . . no problems since.
