Hello,
This depends on the year of the boat because we changed lights. Most of the 2015 and older would remove by grabbing the brass ring and twisting it counter clockwise. The newer ones you have to take a small flathead screw driver to pop the center out. The brand new 2016-2017 models have actual LED lights.

I just get a finger nail under the surrounding bezel and peel them off. takes some confidence but they pop out
