California Bay Area/Delta Launching

Hey everybody.

We will be trailering our R29CB to the SF Bay Area/San Joaquin Delta this summer for a 3-4 week trip. We need a good place to sling launch our boat and store our trailer/truck. Hoping we can get some recommendations from the Tugnut community (including "stay away" recommendations!). We are pretty flexible (meaning Sacramento, Stockton for Delta) or (SF/Marin/Napa, etc for the Bay).

I tend to launch in the Delta and cruise out to the bay vs. using a sling. Mainly because we are leaving our rig for days at a time. As such I can’t speak to Slings where they will allow parking a rig with that size trailer for very long. Admittedly I am also gun shy as my truck has been broken into and busted up.

I have been using B&W Marina for the past 3 years. Great folks who live onsite so things are very secure. The ramp can
get a little crowded on weekends with fishing tournaments but launching/retrieving midweek is pretty quiet. There are several really nice ramps like Brannen Island but you cannot leave a rig beyond a day so if you are willing to launch and park elsewhere that is an option too. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat as I have tried several different ramps over the years and I keep coming back to B&W mainly for longer term parking and security reasons.
