Hello Everyone!
Who could possibly sleep with a new Ranger 29 on the way?!? We went to the Monroe factory today and fell head over heels! We did it! We signed on the dotted line! As soon as those great craftsmen put her together, my husband Loren and I will be out there on Puget Sound for days on end! I missed last boating season because I was busy taking chemotherapy, but now it's time to LIVE!! and to start fresh with the boat of my dreams! Hope to meet lots of you out there. Especially like to connect with those of you in Bellingham and in Roche Harbor, our two home marinas.

Congratulations, I know you will enjoy your time on your new 29. Hope to see you in Bellingham in Sept.

Congratulations on your new R-29. You will get many hours of enjoyment out of her as Ranger build a great boat! Not sure when you are taking delivery but we have three great events lined up so far this year. The first will be in June, the Southern Gulf Island Cruise. In August we are doing the Points North Cruise to Desolation and then in September is the big Rendezvous in Bremerton. Currently we have 50 vessels signed up for the rendezvous. Let me know if you would like to attend any of these events and I will add your names to the list.

Getting old and senile....Bremerton is what I meant.

Harmony - Congrats on being a new Ranger Tug owner & captain, BUT, above all, on being a SURVIVER! I hope I speak for all of us "TugNutters" in wishing you and your husband many, many seasons of happiness and excitement as you live your dream.

(your post comes at a time when we just completed our participation in Bakersfield's Relay for Life fundraiser event. This year we raised close to $2 Million for the ACS, but more importantly, we celebrated the renewed life of a close friend, 29 yrs old, who also is a surviver after 2 years of hell.)

Hope you will post many pix of your new R-29 and the adventures you will share along the journey.

Alex & (Capt.) Sherry "Kamalani"

It gives me the warm fuzzies all over to see a female type person take such a keen interest in boating.
Your husband is indeed a lucky man.
I have to beat my wife to get her to go out on the boat with me.
Just kidding. The beating part is a figure of speach.

Thanks everyone for your kind replies!!! I am excited to meet as many of you loyal boaters as possible!! None of my friends share this passion. I'm just a sucker for the sea. There is NOTHING like being out on the water. And for those of you who offered congrats on surviving chemo...THANKS! It makes every day a celebration! Life is sweet! Especially out on a boat!
And to David and Maureen, we will have out boat in time for the Desolation Sound Cruise and PLEASE count us in!!! Will also join in at Bremerton!

Congratulations, Harmony! 😀

I've been a water person all my life. Enjoy every aspect of boating. I'm almost content sitting on my front porch and looking out onto the water. Almost.

I had my brush with surgery and then six months of radiation treatment just over ten years ago. Missed a season on the water and still haven't caught up. But, I keep trying.

Don't waste a minute.

Gene

Hello Harmony,
I wish to welcome you to the Ranger Tug family (and I mean that). This is a closely knit group of boat enthuastic owners. I like Gene was raised on the water south of Alki and spent my youth and young adulthood on boats. I bought my first serious boat, a Monk 40' when I was 26 but got away from boating about ten years ago. Then we bought a Ranger and have been in Heaven since, welcome aboard and look forward to meeting you both.
Bob

Welcome Harmony to the Ranger family... we look forward to meeting you and enjoying the beautiful waters of the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

PS.. you're going to love your R29!

Hello there Captains Gene, Bob, and owners of Karma!
Still walking on cloud nine just planning some itineraries! Like the simple pleasures of pulling out of Roche Harbor and over to the back bay behind Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island. There is a dinghy dock and a secret backdoor entry into the luscious gardens! They have concerts on summer evenings under the stars and then, instead of leaving with the crowds, you get to creep out the back door and dingy to your boat, only to be rocked to sleep where you anchor! Ah, heaven!! Hope some of you can join us this summer!
By the way, we saw Karma at the factory. She is beautiful! Lovely color and fantastic hardtop in leu of the bimini. She got us very excited about buying the boat. Cool second mast. Any special reason for deciding to have one?
See you all out on the water!

Hi there Lyman & Janeane of Zuma
I see that you are Washingtonians over there in Leavenworth. How does someone get lucky enough to live over there? I went to a wedding on a ranch a few miles outside of Leavenworth. What natural beauty! Do you trailer your boat over here to the coast? Hope to meet you when you are out on the water or if you stop in Bellingham or Friday Harbor.

Congratulations Harmony and Loren,

Exciting times ahead! Your intro post here went right to my heart. I am not a Ranger owner, but browse here occasionally, due to the original connection with the C-Brats. Jeff M was still with C-Dory at the time and wrote the order for our boat. We know the excitement and anticipation of waiting for the new boat... and the planning for how you will use it and where you will go. Wishing you all the best with the building stage and then on to those anticipated good times on the water.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Harmony - we share your excitement, and the vicarious thrill of anticipation. Moondance is our first boat, and two years later we still are thrilled each time we park at the marina and see here on the dock. Great boats, wonderful folks, and so many awesome adventures await on the water.

We look forward to seeing you this season.

Cheers

Harmony,
Thank you for the compliments on Karma. We love our new hardtop as it will give us a great place to store our inflatable. As for the second mast, we did not care for the original mast being set so far forward so we chose to go with the short mast for the radar.

We like the look of the original placement of the mast therefore we had a new one built. We choose to have the spotlight moved to this position hoping to eliminate the glare off of the bow. We will also fly our flag from this mast.

Harmony:

We will be moving ZUMA up to Bellingham for the summer late this month. Would love to give you a tour and have a chat.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Lyman

Harmony: Congratulations on the R-29. So pleased you have that attitude after the Chemo sessions etc. My wife will be starting hers tomorrow after having the Port-Cat implanted today. Getting out on the boat this season will be touch and go for me/us and likely done without my wife onboard. Two of my three children & families live in Seattle so I'm sure I'll be encouraged to set sail often. Hope to see you and others at the various GTGs. Take care and enjoy...

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE GETTING A WONDERFUL BOAT. We own a R-29 named the OPTIMIST. Hope to see you out on the water. Denny

Hi there Bruce and Vicki
Love the name of your boat! Moondance was the name of my palimino. He was the best horse and we shared many land adventures. Now it's time for adventures at sea!

Hi Karmatuggers,
What a great place for your inflatable! Do you trailer Karma anywhere? We are trying to find out what a good truck will be to trailer our R 29 down to San Diego in the winter so that we can take her down to Baja from there.
Hope to meet you soon.
