Cant stand it

My 27 is up on blocks for the winter and I cant take it. Only got a few months of use from her but it was a lot. And Im hooked. I just love my tug and cant wait till spring. Told the marina Im first in. Soon as freeze is done.

Much cheaper than therapy. 😉

We left the frozen northland so we could have a place with a dock and year 'round boating. We bought a trailerable boat to be able to be in the best places at the best times. I remember the days of winterizing the boat, knowing that being on it wasn't an option for months.

We didn't go out on the boat today, but I did "mess about with it" for a while. The temp was around 77 degrees. The sun was shining. Breezy, but nice.

Going south is an option. When you want to be on the boat bad enough, you find a way to make that work. I don't know if it's true that "days spent on the water are not subtracted from the days of your life" ... but, I'm not taking any chances! 🙂

I think when I get the trailer I will be heading south for some of next winter. Have towed sailboats south in winter and stayed for month or so. What a great way to break up the winter.

I knew I was not alone 🙂 I plan on having a trailer next year so I can stay afloat until around now.. And then be back in the water as soon as the ice goes out.. Hoping to dip her in some salt water in March next year 🙂

When you get your trailers and find yourself southbound, schedule one of your overnight stops in the Atlanta area and give us a shout. We've been on the lake every day this month and the best restaurant on Lanier is open year round.
