Im moving my tug from Elliott Bay up to Cap Sante permanently. I live in Seattle and like having Daisy close, but I going to switch things up. I’ve made this move with other boats for a similar reason. After two years with daisy I find that I don’t go for a joyride for the day or fish locally very often. I always get back to the point that I use her for cruising, and Anacortes is a better take off place for me, plus it’s like having a small condo in a neat little seaport. In previous winters I’ve visited my boats up there regularly especially before and after big wind storms or icy temperatures. It’s always worked out pretty well.
I’m wondering if there are any other Tugnuts from SEA that Moore in Cap Sante.
It’d be fun to meet each other and maybe even do ride shares or do boat watch check in’s for each other when we’re on the dock with some time this winter.
Any interest in next steps?

I just bought a used R29 and will more it at Anchor Cove in Anacortes until march then I have a space at Twin Bridges so I am very close. Would love to find people to cruise with.

My R27 is currently at Cap Sante ... temporarily. She's normally at Anacortes Marina, buit they're rebuilding the dock so Toki is at Cap Sante till its done.

I've also got a 30' sailboat at Cap Sante, I've had it there for ~7 years.

You're right, Anacortes is a fantastic place to have a boat. Yes, it's an hour and a half drive to get there, but when we were berthed in Everett we found it took us a couple hours to get anywhere coiol on the boat anyway, and at Anacortes we're smack dab in the middle of the San Juans. And Cap Sante is a very well run marina.

See ya out there!

We live in Bothell and keep our R29 Classic at Anacortes Marina, next door to Cap Sante. Let's stay in touch.

We just bought our 2016 R27 and it is moored in Anacortes Marina.
Slip E33 until it gets moved for the rebuilding of the docks there.
What they have done so far is a nice improvement!

Ernie: What are the various fees for moorage at Cap Sante ? My issue with Cap Sante is the lack of covered slips, plus I use my boat year round (fishing, cruising, just hanging out on it, and chatting with my slip neighbors etc) and as I live but a few minutes from my Port of Edmonds there's no way I'd switch to having to travel 1.5 hrs each way up to and back from Cap Sante. If I lived in Anacortes I just might consider Cap Sante though.

Our R29 is about the largest boat the bulls at Twin Bridges can haul out. It is more expensive but having heated indoor storage so you do not need to winterize, bottom paint as often, etc. to us is well worth the extra money. Twin Bridges is located at the end of the slough on the Cap Santa side. Tom & Jerry’s is located on sight so you have full service mechanics that can work on your boat. Outdoor bunks to work on the boat clean it, drain the bilge, etc.

Thanks anacortes Tugnuts. I’ll be moving Daisy there on Thursday
We’ll have to get together sometime.

Let’s plan a time to meet for lunch or something and plan some outings!

We are at Twin Bridges as well. I really like having our boat out of the water. For me, there is less to worry about, but more expensive and there is always diesel exhaust from the forklifts to clean.
We would be interested in getting together with others in and around Anacortes.

Our current Ranger Tug is at Anchor Cove until March 1 then we will move it to Twin Bridges. We have and still have a 24’ SeaSport Explorer that we have moored there for over 10 years. Our plan is to sell the SeaSport and move our Tug to Twin Bridges. Sense part of our purchase of the Tug was free covered moorage until March we decided to keep it there until we have to move it and not pay moorage on 2 boats.
