Is there an "official" capacity rating for the R25? I haven't seen a capacity label on mine, which is technically required for sale in Canada. I'm filling out an application for an MMSI number, and they want to know the capacity of the vessel. I would have guessed soemthing like 8, but perhaps that's too generous?

Ram,

Please send me a mailing address and I will mail you a sticker for canadian compliance. Inside the US any boat over 20' does not require a capacity rating. If we ship to Canada or anywhere CE compliant outside the US we have to add this sticker I can send you.

On the sticker it has a number that is registered with the Canadian Government. They can get everything they need by that.

The R-25 being a relatively shallow draft boat and just about anyone or anything place on the boat being above the waterline, would have an adverse effect the center of gravity. Add too much weight and things could be come rather dicey with regards to the stability of the boat, especially in high speed turns etc. Am wondering if Ranger has a drawing or information as to the location of the center of gravity or recommendations as to a maximum safe load ( what kind of number was filed with the Canadian Government)?
