Cape May to Lewes Delaware,
Has anyone made the trip from Cape May across the Delaware bay through the Roosevelt Inlet to the city docks in Lewes Delaware ? I have a C 24 and will be doing an 8 day trip leaving from Herring Bay in August and was wondering about that part of the trip. Is the Roosevelt inlet anything to be concerned about? Thanks for any information.

We took a trip last fall from Annapolis down to Cape May and across to Lewes. There can be a strong current in/out of DE bay, so with a strong wind the chop can get bad. But it’s all relative. Check the weather and know your limits. Nothing hard. Just exercise safe boating and enjoy!
