My carbon monoxide alarm beeps every few minutes. Red light is on. Green light is off. How do I stop beeping? I have 2017 R29.

is it battery powered or connected via hardwire? If hard wire, I'd check the fuse. The previous owner of my c-30 swapped out the hard-wired units for 10-year battery units, because they do draw a small number of amps, and everything counts on the hook. if it's not the fuse, you might have a wiring problem assuming they are hard wired units. If battery, might be time to replace.

It is hard wired and I am on shore power. Last night, I pushed the test button and beeping stopped for hours then came back. It didn’t stop right away. I tried various things like holding button down and pushing it three times. Not sure what made it stop. After pushing button, green light was on and red light was out. I thought it was good to go.

got it. might be a fuse or wiring issue then, I'd start there. Last resort, consult the manual. :-D

I would be fairly confident that your CO detector has reached end of life. Our 2017 did it last year. In that era RT was fitting Xintex. Take a look at https://www.fireboy-xintex.com/marine-c ... d-of-life/ .
It's an easy change out for the new version as the mounting holes are the same.

I am with Chimo. The carbon monoxide alarms have a limited life span. They can save your life or lives of others on your boat so they are worth replacing immediately when they reach they end of their working days. We had to replace one of those monitors in year 4. Not too difficult to replace, although in our case the wiring was not plug and play between 2015 and 2019.

Been there, That sounds like an end-of-life alarm. Easy change, but may have to splice the wires if yours has a plug connector. I put a spacer on the screws so there was room for the connectors under the detector.

Glad to learn about the EOL! Explains the new 10 year battery models the previous owner installed in my boat.

I found out from the fireboy website that the carb monoxide alarms are programmed to die in five years. My boat is five years old. What I don’t understand is they die at 2 am then you have to sleep with a pillow over your head.
