Time to change out detector on a 2019 R-27, detector is hard wired in on the wall in the forward berth, no problem getting it off the mounting bracket but no way to disconnect it, do I just cut the wires ? Can only get about 2 inches out from the wall ? No stab connections? Nothing, took cover off unit, nothing ? Exintex model Cmd5-md. Thanks.

I cut the wires and added bullet connectors. Left enough slack to make it easy to undo one wire when I put it away for the winter. I also put each connector on in
opposing direction, so it is not possible to connect it with reverse polarity.

Thanks, That’s most likely the road Iam heading down, not really a big deal just seeing if there where any other options.
