Subject: Cave opening on my R-27/OB ?

Yesterday with family onboard (including a 3 yr old) I found that all the panel white switches had been flipped to ON after we had returned from our cruise and I was prepping the boat for being left at our slip.

I noticed this after having attached the shore power cord and wanting to ensure the boat was receiving the shore power and for the battery charging switch to be ON.

I suspect the 'criminal' was the 3 yr old as she loves switches and glowing LEDs. The backside of the cave with all its dials, switches and LEDs is far to tempting presumably for a young child. 😱

Thus, I think I need to install some kind of protection from having the electrical panel switches messed with. The one thing that comes to mind is for the cave opening to be covered in some manner. On my late R-25 Classic the cave had a canvas cover that kind of hid the cave's inside. So, I'm thinking something similar is needed for our boat.

Do others have any suggestions ? Thanks. 🙂

A clear plastic hinged door, with child-proof lock, may do the trick.
