Chain link size?

Anyone know off the top of their head the size of the standard chain link for the anchor rode on the R-27? (probably the same chain as on other models, but I'm not sure). Asking because (a) we want to try some chain markers that Capt. Mac told us about that are specific to the thickness of the links; and (b) I want to put the order in for them with other things I'm ordering by tomorrow morning, and we are 60 miles from our boat. The standard chain size options for the markers are:
5/16", 3/8", and 1/2". If I were guessing, I'd guess 3/8". Right? Wrong?

You could use different colored zip ties also.

We've used spray paint on our R25, and now use rescue tape on our R29. Make up your own color/stripe convention. Both worked well.
