I have a 2010 R29 with the 6BY 260 engine and an electronic shifter/throttle. The old Teleflex unit has failed and replacement parts are no longer available. I am going to try to install new controls from Ultraflex and their manuals indicate that they will work with 6BY 260 engine and ECU. First I will have to remove the old system before installing the new one. The problem I have is that the entire wiring harness runs through the module of the old control (part # i8150P). Some of the wiring likely just passes through but it would be good to know this before reconnecting the ECU. Also, engine gauges receive their information through this part and I will need a way to supply this information to the helm. Does anyone have any experience with changing out the Teleflex system? I would really like a wiring diagram for this setup but Yanmar does seem to have one and no luck with the factory either. any help finding a wiring diagram with wire color codes would be much appreciated.
