Changing the zinc anode on a Westerbeke generator

Excellent vid.
I have the Onan 5kw. Sought online guidance on where the anode zinc is located… no one seems to know if there is one or not. Continuing my journey…
 
Not sure if this is your specific genset but this Onan manual shows a zinc anode as item 4 in this schematic

I used the OEM replacement as I found the threads on the aftermarket anodes to be slightly off.

I see some rust just starting and, perhaps too late for me, I started using a heavy anti-corrosion spray to stop further decay. I used HD Corrosion X, however, there are lots of options including treatments. You can see the damage to mine in the attached photo.

Trans Pacific is great, I know the whole team now since I've had loads of part failures on my unit that is rarely used, but, run biweekly.. I hope you have much better luck.
