Dear Friends,

My partner and I are considering purchasing a Ranger 25 or 27, but would like to cruise with one, first, in the San Juans. There have been a couple of Ranger 25s in Western Washington's charter fleets in the past. Unfortunately, none of them are available this season.

I have taken US Power Squadron classes through the JN level, and have a certificate for one of the local charter company's on-the-water course--unfortunately, their Ranger was withdrawn from the charter fleet before we could take her out. We are careful, sensible people and can provide references.

Any help?

Thanks in advance.

Kate,
While you are looking for an R-25 or R-27, I believe there is at least one R-29 for charter in Anacortes. Yes, you will get spoiled by the R-29 however, it will give you a good idea as to the quality that goes into all Ranger Tugs.

Just a thought.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I know about that boat and she is a beauty--we are already duly impressed with these lovely craft. Part of the reason for doing the charter, though, is to see if we can really live together comfortably and enjoy the cruising we would do on the smaller craft. I've no doubt that we'd love a cruise on Tug Time!

Any leads?

Thanks again,

K
