Greetings!

Trilogy is our third Ranger Tug, a 2012 Ranger 27 that we acquired last year at the SW Florida Rendezvous. Some of you know about our previous adventures from our websites: http://www.laurieann-ranger25.com and http://www.andiamo-ranger29.com.

We loved the Great Loop so much and being PNW boaters who live on a 40 foot trawler in Everett, we needed a way to re-explore parts of this 6,000 mile long adventure. So, we are now "Bi-Coastal" with boats on both coasts. You can read more about all of this by exploring this page on our website:

Are you curious about the Great Loop? If you are attending the Seattle Boat Show in January, we are doing a presentation on January 31 at 7PM. Also, come to our earlier session at 6PM, that is about a dozen tips, lessons and skills that will make you a more confident boater.

John:

Great news.... will try to attend your presentation at the Seattle Boat Show in Jan 2018.....

Woweee.... living on a 40-foot trawler..... post some pics please. 🙂

[Edit] OK .... found pics at http://www.tribute-kadeykrogen39.com ....Oh, that's a very nice boat.

As an aside..... When living in a house and simply sitting down anywhere and looking around there is always something the eye lands on that indicates or informs you that something needs to be fixed. Is the same true when living on a boat ? 😉

I'm intrigued with the fender description you posted....

A folding cleat that drops down was added at the widest point of the beam and stainless chafe protectors were attached to the edges of the teak cap rails. The fender line is tied to a brass snap hook for ease of removal and attachment.

I cannot really figure this out.... is it possible to provide more clarification on this setup ? Thanks.
