Check Engine Alarm!

Hello all - after an uneventful 90 minute cruise home from a local marine park I tied up my Ranger 29 in our marina. Three days later I returned to the boat and on turning the ign key an alarm came up and would not cancel. The local Yanmar serviceman connected his code reader and up came p0650 - open or short in alarm circuit. I went over the circuits and used CRC on all pin connectors etc etc to no avail. I tried the Yanmar service/tech portal and as yet have not heard from them.
After reading on the Tugnuts tech forum about similiar issues and the glow module I decided to give it a try. I removed the module.
VOILA !! No more alarm! I don’t know if I would have solved this on my own - thank you all for passing on your experience.
