So while doing maintenance on my 2011 R25sc I noticed what looked like a dirty leaf in the bottom of the bilge just in front of the bilge pump. Naturally I extended my bionic arm an extra 18 inches to fish it out. Lo and behold it was not a leaf but an approximately 4 inch long piece of paint that had come loose from the bilge "tunnel" just in front of the bilge pump. My questions are-

Has this happened to anyone else? And have you noticed a problem from the paint being gone?
What is the paint protecting? Or in other words, is there now wood exposed under that flaking paint that is going to rot?

All answers appreciated and take to heart.

The only reason for the paint is to make it look better than raw fiberglass. You have nothing in that area that can rot.

Take care,

Andrew

Thanks Andrew. One less thing...
