Hi, we just bought our 2011 r29. It will go in water tomorrow after some maintenance.
We were wondering what cleaning supplies you use on your boat. Is there anything specific to a Ranger or specific for boat use?
Thank you.

If you are talking interior, we use Simple Green for almost everything, a small bottle of Clorox that doubles when shocking the potable water tank and cleaning the head area. Spray peroxide for any monkey fur (it also doubles for cut disinfectant). We use Kanbeera gel in a couple of holders in the head and v-berth area and have never had a mold issue, plus it has a pleasant smell. If your interior wood has been oiled using Pledge Replenishing Oil works well to freshen it up.
On outside we use white vinegar diluted with water for a quick wash. For a big wash Opine. We use collinite product for the stainless, hull cleaner and wax.

Along with some of the products mentioned above we use boat soap for the exterior as it is better for the environment. We also use soft scrub with a sponge for spot scuff marks.

Dave and Ellen, a soft brush on a extendable pole (great for getting fish blood and scales off side of boat), a plastic bucket, some old rags/hand towels, blue shop towels-better than regular paper towels.
Bleach, windex, 409 cleaner, and anything else you prefer. Bob

Diluted vinegar water for general wipe down...Collonite 885 fleetwax for hull.....(920 Collonite prewax first if you have some oxidation)......Nevr-Dull cotton wadding polish for metals(you will find multiple uses for this magic stuff).....and West Marine Non-Slip Deck Cleaner (don't use regular waxes on decks...slippery)

My mistake. I did not state interior of the boat. Is there a specific toilet bowl cleaner? What kind of toilet paper does everyone use? What do you use on your teak?

I have a boat cleaning OCD. I drive my wife and myself nuts with the constant cleaning. Tried dozens of cleaning items; however, the one I would never give up is the white Magic Eraser sponges.

They remove everything! Most effective on removing those stubborn scuffs, shoe marks, hose marks, and stains. Removes them without effort and quickly.

You will not be disappointed!

Really? Does it do a pretty good job of stain removal on the monkey fur? Does it discolor it? I've been wondering about the proper way to clean that stuff.

Gary, I see you're near us. Fortunately for you, I can help enable that OCD! You're welcome to head up to my boat in Anacortes any time you want and scrub to your hearts content! Glad I can help you.

Oh ray of sunshine! A compassionate soul willing to help with my dreadful disorder. Thank you Toki 😀

Unfortunately, as a result of the rapidly spreading Coronavirus here in the Pacific Northwest, I am now compelled to clean my boat from bow to stern with antibacterial solution and Q-tips. I am salivating at the opportunity to get started!

Works for me!

We like to use good quality residential toilet paper. After use, it goes into a brown paper lunch bag on the floor of the head. We have never had a problem with a clogged toilet/sewage system in over 24 years of boating and motor homing. Finding brown paper lunch bags has been getting harder the last few years. Nothing goes in the toilet except what you have swallowed and digested.
