I've got a clogged Tecma toilet on my C30-CB.
I cannot get the flap valve to open to try to get it unclogged. Without removing the toilet itself.
The unit seems to be operating. The macerator pump runs, At least it sounds like it. But the flap does not open.
Any suggestions on getting it to open?
Thanks, Steve

Having replaced the motor-pump and knowing that the flap valve is part of that assembly, I'm not sure how you know that the flap valve doesn't open. And how can the pump operate if the flat valve doesn't open. I ordered a replacement pump from Defender in 2020.

Hello Steve,

You would need to remove the toilet and then remove the pump in order to clear any clogg. Also the joker valve is past the pump. From experience, its best to remove and work on it out of the boat as it makes it much easier to work on and reassemble. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

I unbolted the toilet and then had access to the backside plumbing. The hose assembly exiting the pump is clamped to the somewhat smaller hose to the holding tank. This is where the clog was. After cleaning the connection out, it all worked properly again. Not too bad a job. Outside of the obvious.
Thanks for your replies.
