So replacing my original CO detector as it’s expired . It’s wired and mounted differently then the Xintec model RT sent.
Although it should be simple B and R wire. Old unit had power. Snipped the lead to old, removed old mouthing plate. Installed new mounting plate and crimped new CO R and B wires . Pressed test buttons etc. No power to the new unit. 3 amp fuses in cave are both fine. Is there anything else I’m missing ?

I replaced mine in the same fashion. Worked fine. Check the power leads for 12 Vdc with a multimeter. If none, there is another fuse somewhere.

On our R-27 Classic, we blew the fuse when snipped the wires. IIRC, the fuse was in a block behind the helm, accessed from the V-berth.

On the 29 There are 2 - 3amp fuses in the cave, Which look fine. Any other place it would trip. Yeah I snipped the old lead , since RT uses different CO detector now.

Thanks

RT advises to use multi-meter

I have the same model boat R29 CB 2017. One thing to note is the power LED now just flashes briefly once every 3 minutes instead of being on continuously. I swapped mine out a few weeks ago and thought I was having trouble getting it to power on - and after checking the wiring again I then read the manual LOL. I set a 3 minute counter on my watch to make sure both units flashed - cause blink and you'll miss it. I pulled the fuses before wiring and connected red-red black-black. The test button did work though so I knew they were getting power. Hope this helps!

Interesting . The test button is not working . So have
a few things to try be aware of, will be at boat this afternoon .

Fuse was bad when tested with multi-meter, problem solved
