I had my R31 CB's Coast Guard COD transferred from the previous owner to me. Is there a recommended place to 'permanently affix' the number on 'some clearly visible interior structural part of the hull'? I had assumed the previous owner had this done, but for the life of me, I can't find it. As always, appreciate the input!

I too just bought a used 2014 R31S. The doc. Number was printed On a stringer near the fuel tank directly under the floor hatch in front of the stove. A layer of clear resin was brushed over the top to make it permanent. Definitely permanent, but not what I’d call “clearly visible”

Since I received two sets when I ordered the numbers I went ahead and put in two places. The first is the same as under the floor hatch. The second is on the wall of the engine well. My understanding is that the in or around the engine is the traditional place.
