When it is going to rain, is it best to move the cockpit cushions into the cabin? Can they handle the weather?

Like Mike we leave ours outside and they've worn fine. In addition I applied a spray coating of Scotch-Guard recently to help ward the water away. One thing not mentioned are bugs, spiders, etc that might be hiding up and in the crevices of the cushions that could get inside your boat by bringing the cushions inside for storage.

I leave mine out most of the time. Once a year I remove the seating fabric and throw them into the washing machine and then dry them out at low heat. They have not shrunk and still look pristine.

I do take the seat portion off as it's easy to do so, and place it in the cabin as Seagulls, Crows etc can poop on it at times.

The Scotch-Guard is a good approach for keeping the water/dew at bay and quite likely makes it easier to wipe the moisture off and allows the seating to dry quickly.

BTW... if you have't taken the cushion fabric off you should know that the inner foam material is protected with a plastic covering -- a nice touch by Ranger Tugs... at least on our MY2010 R-25 this is so.

Can't thank you enough for the advice.
