We are looking at covering our cockpit and swim step with some kind of covering. We know some Ranger owners who have used raptor deck and are very pleased with the results. We are getting an estimate from King Canvas for Corinthian aqualoc using their Velcro locking system. Any feedback from Tugnuts would be appreciated

I would think the Velcro system is as good as the adhesive that holds it down to the deck. We have the U-deck which is the same product as raptor. The adhesive did come loose on the swim step, but the U-deck distributor is near us in Rhode Island and they came to the boat and took the loose pieces off and applied a double coat of the adhesive and reinstalled it for us. Definitely stood by the product. I bring this up because it was the water penetrating through the anti-skid crevices that they felt caused the issue. So with small sections of Velcro stuck on and water definitely getting on the swim step I wonder how long the integrity of the adhesive will last.

I to am considering both these products so if anyone out there has any experience with them , any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Last weekend my son came aboard the boat tracking grime and black firepit ash on the bottom of his black vibram-soled boots, leaving the most distinct bootprints all over my new Raptor Deck cockpit.

Today, I finally got around to washing the cockpit, and was delighted to find that those bootprints disappeared after a few minutes scrubbing the decking with a bristle brush and some common dishsoap.

Hurray for Raptor Deck!

Its been over two years since our install. Here's a link to the initial post viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9940

We have nothing but good to say about the Raptor folks. We had them install it on our 2019 R27 shortly after our sea trial and before delivery in late 2018 and have never regretted the decision. It hasn't had a huge amount of abuse, but we don't worry about what our guests are wearing - or for that matter what we are wearing - on their feet. It's also somewhat cushioning and comfortable on the feet. Beckoning sits in an open slip and the Raptor deck has been exposed to last year's heavy snowfall, sun and this year's January rain of Biblical proportions. It shows no sign of wear or loss of adhesion.

Our experience has been so good that it will be installed in our new R29S when it's delivered sometime around the end of April.

We installed Sea Deck throughout the cockpit and love it. Complicated install on the C-26, with all the hatches, but the stencil kit they send, containing clear mylar and a pen to mark the shapes had excellent instructions, and they send printed templates on new mylar to check the fit and alignment prior to cutting the finished products. We made a couple of small adjustments and the finished product came out great!

Also added Sea Deck to the star board coach plastic roof I added after the wood version rotted. Despite some warnings that the adhesive wouldn't stick to Starboard, after washing with alcohol prior to attaching - its done great through 1 1/2 seasons!

Adding some photos to my album.
