Cockpit Enclosure

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this.

Has anyone had a cockpit enclosure made that incorporates the fold-out gunnel seats on the larger Rangewaters?

I would be willing to pay $1.00, USD (to sweeten the pot for our Canadian friends) for a design that allows for the seats both in and out, as well as being stylish and inexpensive.

I would think to do it right you would need a folding frame and removable panels for the sides.. It would be an interesting project... Hopefully someone has figured it out Will be great to see .

We have a cockpit enclosure including bug netting on our 2015 Ranger 31s. As an afterthought we made inquiries with 2 canvas companies in BC to adapt our enclosure to incorporate the seats. Both thought it doable but had reservations about its functionality, stability and cost. We are sticking with our current set up and use folding camp chairs for extra seating when the sides are down.

A cockpit enclosure is certainly worth the investment giving lots of extra usable space in wet weather and on chilly evenings which are quite common in our part of the world. Our boat has become the preferred party boat with our cruising friends, a mixed blessing!
