I've got a leak in my cockpit overhead eyebrow hatch / winch lag bolts somewhere on my 2016 C30-CB. The boat is new to me and the selling dealer redid the veneer in the cockpit overhang (thankful they did it!), but now there's a leak somewhere, and it will slowly but surely ruin the brand new veneer, as there's a slow drip of water around some of the lag bolt heads and the teak and holy joint forward center of the overhead hatch (exact source TBD). I have put a temporary band aid on it of a white plastic bag and Dr. Shrink preservation tape until this crazy weather subsides (if it does!). Can someone please validate my thinking on troubleshooting / mitigation:

1) remove lag bolts for winch attachment / winch bracket itself
2) remove hatch & validate leak location
3) reseal hatch gasket with new EPDM weatherstripping tape all around, and 4200 sealant at the screw heads
4) re-attach winch attachment and lag bolts with 4200 around bolt holes / under washers

It seems like from my research that this veneer is generally problematic, so if it gets worse I'll eventually replace with something more weather friendly. We've hit a very nasty streak of Seattle fall weather, and it's really not a good time to be doing this work...
