I am not a fisher so I have no need for the fold up seats in the cockpit of my Cutwater1000005508.jpg1000005514.jpg C28. In concept they are a good idea but they are too low to be used effectively. I recently removed the port seat and added a long cushion to make a L seat with the existing rear seat. I reused the existing folding seat brackets as a support. Now I have a nice seating and eating area in the cockpit.

This looks great. Do you have any plans that can be shared/did you have someone make this for you? I'd be interested in doing the same in our C28.

Don't have any plans, had a local upholsterer make the cushion. I reused the existing seat bracket and made a platform that fit where the old seat was - a bit of work to make it level in each direction as the existing seat wasn't. The big cushion just attached with velcro and has 1 folding support leg at the stern end. 1000005507.jpg

What was the name/contact for the shop you used?
