All of the Ranger Tugs lack seating in the cockpit.

What have others done to overcome this? Pictures would be great!
 
Talk to Peter at WIYY. He has fabricated side cushons and stainless frames for one of his boats. It was at the Newport show.

Thanks John. YOLO was right next to the R-25SC with cushions in Newport.

We have been working with Peter on something similar. I am interested in all options.
 
Bruce, how stable is the PICO when someone is sitting in it and you take off under decent speed or go into a turn?
 
Barry - they've alway's seemed very stable. Vicki and I both actively pilot and lookout, from inside the cabin. But we've had them out for guests while underway and they were fine.

If you're looking for a low cost solution, my wife bought two nice teak folding chairs at TJMax for $29 each. We added a cushion and they worked great this season.

Pico Armchair. A little pricey but they fold up to the size of a large laptop and come with a carry case. The take up very little space when closed and are easy to set up. We have used them under way and find them to be very stable as well as comfortable. Two different kinds of Pico. I would suggest the model as seen in the pictures from Moondance.

Barry, Yes the chairs are very stable (considering how cheap they were for teak). I tightened all the fasteners before using. We also got a small matching folding table for about the same price. They all looked really nice when new, but have faded alot over the summer. I haven't oiled them like I do the teak on the boat, so that may be it.

Sounds like there are plenty of good options for you to consider in any case.
