This may be of interest to some Tugnuts looking for somewhere different to cruise, or that have done some cruising in the Inland Pacific Northwest.

A member of the Lewis-Clark Sailing Assoc.(to which I also belong) Is putting together a web based Cruising Guide for the 400 mile trip from Portland OR to Lewiston ID. He's looking for input including photos and personal experiences that can be added to the Guide. He (Christian Rinke) has sailed both ways on his Columbia 36, and has just sailed from Lewiston to San Diego. He has a very good start on the guide and it's already an interesting site.

here's the link ... http://snake.seareport.net/

I know he's apprieciate any input.

Really neat site thanks

Wow. Just found this. Very nicely done. Has anyone out there cruised this river?

Cheers

One of the TugNuts has traveled downriver starting at Lewiston in an R=21ec . His album is in the photos section as " K7MXE".I think he went all the way to Portland or Astoria (not sure).

I live on the Snake River, but so far I have just cruised the 90 miles west to the Granite Dam and back to my slip in Lewiston several times (in a different boat). One of the nicest trips was during the July full moon weekend. We joined up with some local boaters for the annual "Full Moon Regatta" and drifted at 2 mph all night through the canyon all nite in the moonlight.

Now that I have an R-21...This year I want to go through the dam to the next lake (the lock is HUGE) and maybe try for some Walleye around Kennewick.
