I am considering purchasing a Ranger Tug 29…not sure which model yet.
My question is…is the cockpit comfortable? It looks like a couple of small hard benches. Since I am transitioning from a Beneteau Oceanis 361 which has a wonderful cockpit where you can lounge with your feet up and enjoy morning coffee…I am worried we will hate the cockpit. Thoughts?

Sometimes we leave the seats folded in, the table removed, and we use camp chairs and a small plastic table. These boats are very versatile.

We have a R29S and find the side cockpit seats quite comfortable. That said we sit with our feet on the floor and often share the seats with either the labradoodle or the golden doodle and they want more than their fair share of the seat!

If you can swing the R31 you will have to additional side seats for extra room in the cockpit and an extra 2 feet of length (it's in the cockpit). The table is removable so that gives you the option (in either length boat) for more legroom if needed. My wife and I are both tall (6'2" and 5"10") and have never been wanting more space than the 31 provides.
