Just installed a Commoderizer on our 2019 Cutwater 30 CB. Super easy instal; cut the raw water hose between the strainer and toilet raw water pump, installed a standard Jabsco strainer, then screwed on the Commoderizer.

Because these things use a modified slow release chlorine tablet, I bought a kit to change out the Jabsco pump diaphragm with a chlorine resistant one made out of Vitron. But it appears the previous owner changed the pump to a SPXFlow Johnson pump. So the research fun began in the middle of my project…

Emailed the Commoderizer website POC and Phil the owner emailed me right back and then we had a phone conversation. Fantastic customer service! No need for my $40 Vitron kit, which Phil said he would give me a refund for.

Turns out the Johnson pumps uses a Santoprene diaphragm which according to several chemical charts, has a high resistance to chlorine. So I’m trying it out.

In the mean time, this product is amazing. No more smells! You get a hint of chlorine smell when first flushing, but after that nothing! I really appreciate coming into the head and it actually smelling good.

Thank you to Dave on Halcyon for turning me onto this product!

This is great to know as mine also has a Santoprene Diaphragm and was curious about this and if I needed to change it out or not.
