Compare RT 29 to RT 27

Thinking about a RT 27 to avoid towing certificate issues, but how big a difference is there between the 29 and the 27? Where was the space taken out of the 29 to form the 27? I guess I'd like to know if the living area is the same.

The biggest reason for the difference is beam, which explains the towing cert.

The R27 is much smaller than 2 feet would suggest. The R-29 has substantially more living space and is a big jump up. The difference in space between the R-29 and R-31 is relatively small; the difference between the R-25 and R-27 is relatively small, the difference between the 29/31 and 25/27 is huge.

It took 30 seconds aboard an R-27 after having just spent 10 minutes aboard an R-29 for us to realize the 27 was way too small for us.

We had the same experience as FlyMeAway. We’d gone down to the factory initially to see the 27, but ended up buying the 29. The 27 was a great boat, but the 29 felt a lot roomier and had a much higher Wife Acceptance Factor.
