I have a 29 CB Ranger Tug with 2 chart plotter systems. In order to get two separate screens at the helm I in stalled my IPad on the dash and linked it to the command bridge plotter through “Active Captain”. It works great for about an hour and then it disconnects and I have to cold start everything again. I’ve checked my IPad for timing out and it’s set at never. Anyone have an ideas on how to maintain a continuous link with the CB chart plotter?

I would go from NMEA2k to USB.

I'm buying an iPad just to be able to view my night vision camera (Sionyx) better than with a phone, and have planned to try Active Captain. Interested in how you get it resolved.

I've had really good luck working with Garmin support https://support.garmin.com/en-US/ql/?focus=topics. Early this year my Fusion radio (Garmin) stopped working and after contacting them and going through their fix suggestions I had an RMA in short order and they even sent a newer model radio.

If I had your issue, I'd try using different WiFi channels just in case that would make a difference. You might also try your Active Captain with a phone just to see if it drops off or not to try to isolate the problem to one device.

Good luck
