Coolant top-off question..I cant see the min/max lines on the coolant expansion tank on my 2016 D3 223hp (they squeezed a size 10 girl into a size 4 dress)..So- to top it off due to low coolant alarm, do I fill resevoir to the bottom of the cap threads (even with top of resevoir)..or fill half inch below the top of the resevoir?..TIA

it's very difficult to see on all of these boats! On my D6, I filled it to the bottom of the cap threads after I got a low coolant alarm and haven't gotten said alarm since (6 months ago).

Fill just to the bottom of the cap. I would also inspect for a leak at the engine, hot water heater and cabin heater.

Thanks! She is returning from a 7 month slumber in the driveway- happened after last season's dewinterization as well..then was good all summer..not sure if that's why or not- but I will be sure to look for leaks..Just filling to the bottom of the cap seems safe - cant remember how I did it last time but I may have not put enough in last time...

Our new to us 2015 R31-CB activated the coolant alarm when we first got her....requires periodic filling to the very top to solve the false alarm.

Good, I am not so concerned after hearing these comments. The second day out in our 2017 R 29 the low coolant light went on. After reading the manual advising to only use the Volvo yellow, I waited a week to get some shipped to me. The level in the tank was only down about a half an inch. It appears the low level warning is very sensitive in a lot of these boats. I did find a small leak (just a very slow drip from a hose clamp) and tightened that. Hopefully that is the end of it.
