On my 2012 R27, the battery-side terminal on the inverter ANL fuse in the battery compartment had a fair amount of corrosion around the edges. I removed the plastic cover over the fuse to investigate further. To release the fuse cover, depress the middle section of the cover towards the fuse body. The one on my boat was fairly difficult to get off to the point I was afraid I would break it.
I’m glad I looked closer. When I removed the battery-side terminal, I could see the corrosion had spread under the washer and nut so completely that it nearly covered the surface on both sides of the terminal. I’m surprised the inverter still functioned normally. I cleaned up the battery side terminal and then removed and cleaned the inverter side terminal which wasn’t nearly as corroded. I removed the inverter ON/OFF rotary switch and cleaned those terminals.
While I was at it, I cleaned both terminals on ANL fuse in the engine start circuit. They had mild corrosion that I would deem normal given the age of the boat.
I also removed and cleaned the terminals on the automatic charge relays. They, too, had nominal corrosion.
I suspect that the inverter terminal corroded because of the light use it gets.
I put a couple pictures of the corroded terminals in my photo album.
