Has anyone ever had the mounting bracket for the aft engine cover on the D6 crack? See part #6 in this diagram:

https://www.volvopentashop.com/epc/en-U ... -B_INB_022

Seems difficult to find to replace it. it is metal and the mount cracked, which is causing excess vibration / noise while hte engine is running.

Part #6 in the schematic looks like the cover itself. Do you mean that, or the bracket labeled #10? The cover is pricey, so I hope all you need is the bracket!

Either way, looks like you can get them through through Power Product Systems. I ordered a couple of D4 parts from them, which drop-shipped directly from Volvo, and came quickly. Here's a link to their schematic (the parts on it are labeled #7 and #11, but part numbers are the same):https://www.powerproductsystems.com/37290.html.
Good luck!

(PS - Marinepartsexpress.com probably has the parts too, at about the same price. I've never ordered from them, though, so can't vouch for them).

on the D6, the starboard side of that cover attaches directly to the engine, there is no bracket like there is on the port side. super annoying. So i am going to likely have to replace the entire cover... Looking back at my survey photos, it appears this was already cracked when I took possession of the boat, but I did not notice it. Thanks for the links on places to buy.

Hi Dave,

You can also contact Pacific Power Products http://www.pac-power.com/ in Kent in case PPS isn't able to get this for you, or if you want to price shop. Hope this helps.

Cheers!
