The aft seat has cracked through on both sides where the latch knob is bolted through the fiberglass. Is this an unusual failure?

The seat is in danger of breaking all the way across. Is there a replacement part and what is the cost? How easy is it to install? We can reuse the cushions

How do I upload pictures here?

Hi!

Can you please send me a picture to my email at marcoarias@rangertugs.com? I can give you insight on the repair. You may not need to buy an entirely new part. I can also explain how to deinstall and install.

Thanks!

Marco Arias - Thank you. I will email tomorrow. I've been in touch with Tim O'Neil in parts to order the new seat frame. Definitely need instructions for the removal and installation.

Sharron,
The seat cracked on our CW 30 CB also. I found a fiberglass guy who rebuilt up the whole structure, I can say it is better than new. If you want I can refer you-

Hey Dave. Where is your boat located? That's crazy that it happened to you too. We are the 2nd owners and the boat was used as a day cruiser in the Chesapeake. Do 300 lb men jump up and down on the seat? 😱

We've got a replacement seat being made in the production line at Fluid Motion. Had to wait until another C30 was being built. Too late to turn back now but will you send the referral information to me at my gmail account? sbrayr at .... Seems like there could be an issue that we could face again.

Thank you,
Sharron

Sharon I am in LaConner Washington sorry. The name of the company that did the work in Tacoma was Northwest marine painting. 253-961-1293. They kind of gave me a new price about $1000. But I have a new seat. With twice the material in the structurally weak spots

I'm looking at a used 2018 C30 with a BBQ/sink installed in place of the flip seat. If I buy it, I'd have to buy a new seat and hardware.
What did CW charge you for a replacement seat? Love to know.

The fiberglass seat was $688.75. Our boat is on the southeast coast so shipping with insurance to Atlanta was high at $263.08. It just arrived on Saturday and is perfect. Now there's the removal and installation remaining.

What did it consist of, fiberglass, upholstery, hardware?
Thanks, very helpful.

Oh, fiberglass only. We have the cushions and hardware.
