I hope someone takes you up on your offer. Last fall we cruised from Quebec City to NY. It sounds like an amazing opportunity for someone.

Ahoy Paul. If you have not already done so, I would strongly recommend picking up a copy of this cruising guide: https://mdnautical.com/canada-cruising- ... guide.html. Excellent generally, and it was the ONLY guide that identifies Sainte-Madeleine-de-la-Rivière-Madeleine as a harbour of refuge along that sparse north coast of the South Shore. Neither my Garmin Blue Charts NOR the official Canadian Hydrographic Services charts identified it as a port.
You can find it @ 49.240578 / -65.293566. Good floating dock system; a hike to modest village. Green offshore PLASTIC can (radar useless) but leading to onshore range marks. Watch for treacherous ledges P&S on approach.
Eventually, do not miss Louisbourg on Cape Breton Island; best historic restoration (with re-enactments) in Canada.
Going largely from 2009 memory since charts/guides went with my sold Alberg 37. (Paperwork on used R21-EC STILL not finalized!)
Ask me anything.
