I own a 2009 RT 25 , I had a Fisher Panda Gen. installed ($14000.00 ) a year ago it works great. Now I would like to install a cruise control unit in my boat. The system I want to buy is the Garmin Reactor 40 with the smart pump Version #2, compass, shadow drive, and a ccu/course computer 4" screen. The cost is $4100.00. Is there anyone out there that has a suggestion on how to get a better price for the same system? I'm thinking maybe its just not worth the expense.

I can't address pricing, but I'd suggest that you have someone with experience that you really trust do the installation. And I second getting the smart pump over the base unit. I wish that had been an option from the factory.
 
When we bought the boat the previoud owner bed very little maintenance I had to touch almost everything, I Hope
you never have to take out a stern thruster ( if my arms were 4" longer it would have be a lot easier), I don't think I will have a problem with the installation .
